What is the difference between an OEM digital camera battery and DuracellDirect's digital camera batteries?
DuracellDirect promises to provide replacement Sanyo digital camera batteries that will either meet or exceed OEM
specifications. In simpler terms, our batteries will provide at least the same service that an OEM battery does, but
in some cases may even be better. Our batteries are created using high grade quality cells, and will come with a one
year warranty. Each product also passes various safety tests, in order to check its durability and quality.
What different types of Sanyo digital camera batteries are there?
Our aftermarket Sanyo digital camera batteries can have one of our chemistries in the cells: Ni-Cad (Nickel Cadmium),
NiMH (Nickel Metal Hydride), Li-Ion (Lithium Ion), and Li-Poly (Lithium Polymer). Each of these types have slight
differences from one another, such as total life span; however, all types are guaranteed to create excellent digital
camera batteries.
Why do Sanyo digital camera batteries have different capacities?
A battery’s capacity is measured in “mAh” (millampere-hour). You’ll notice that your original battery may have a
different mAh than your replacement Sanyo digital camera battery. This can be caused by many different things, such as
a difference in the number of cells used, the size of the batteries, or even the voltage and wattage of the batteries.
Typically, larger batteries have larger cells, due to a higher number of electrode and electrolyte materials, resulting
in a higher capacity and longer use-per-charge.
How long will my Sanyo digital camera battery last?
Our aftermarket Sanyo digital camera batteries have an average total life span of two to three years, or 500 discharge
/ charge cycles. A fully charge digital camera battery can last through several hours of use. When charging, 80%
capacity can be reached within one hour of charging, and a full charge may take up to 4 hours.
These are only averages, and may change depending on the battery. A battery’s type, condition, size, and charger can
all affect how long the charging takes, and how long the battery lasts.
How safe are Sanyo digital camera batteries and batteries in general? How do I take care of my Sanyo battery?
At stated earlier, our products pass several safety certifications. These include UL, FCC, RoHS, and CE. We make sure
that our replacement Sanyo digital camera batteries are safe, durable, and provide the best quality for our customers.
Taking care of your digital camera battery can be as simple as not causing physical damage to it. Avoid throwing,
dropping, or taking apart your battery, as this can short-circuit the cells. Extreme weather conditions should also be
avoided: freezing temperatures and high degrees of heat (such as leaving your digital camera battery inside of a car
in daylight). In case you spot leaks on the battery, recycle it immediately; any further use of a defective battery
can cause damage to the electronics it powers.
Our customer service team is ready to help you find out if our Sanyo digital camera battery is compatible with your
