What is the difference between an OEM camcorder battery and DuracellDirect's camcorder batteries?
Find new replacement JVC camcorder batteries at DuracellDirect.com that will either meet or exceed OEM manufacturer
specifications. All of our aftermarket camcorder batteries and chargers come with a full one year warranty and hold
various UL, CE, RoHS and FCC safety certifications. Aftermarket JVC camcorder batteries usually have an advantage over
OEM camcorder batteries with a better build quality, internal technology, longer battery life, durability, and
increased safety.
What different types of JVC camcorder batteries are there?
Aftermarket JVC camcorder batteries from Duracell Direct may be made from one of four battery chemistry types: Li-Ion
(Lithium Ion), Ni-Cad (Nickel Cadmium), or NiMH (Nickel Metal Hydride) batteries. Each camcorder battery chemistry
type has its own advantages that include a longer run time per charge, increased battery life, lighter weight, compact
size, quicker charge times, and improved battery stability. All four camcorder battery chemistry types are universally
accepted and specific with each JVC camcorder model.
Why do JVC camcorder batteries have different capacities?
Each camcorder battery will have different battery capacities that are specific to each camcorder model. Camcorder
batteries for JVC are measured in “mAh” (milliampere-hour). Camcorder battery capacity is determined based on camcorder
power consumption, battery size, weight, voltage, and battery chemistry type. A higher capacity camcorder battery will
have more electrode and electrolyte material if the battery chemistry is the same. A larger capacity JVC camcorder
battery will always last longer than a smaller capacity battery.
How long will my JVC video camera battery last?
Your JVC video camera should run for a few hours off of one full charge. Recharging your camcorder battery usually
takes one to three hours, with 80% battery capacity being reached after the first hour. A total of 500 discharge and
charge cycles or more can be done with our replacement JVC video camera batteries. With proper battery care and use,
the camcorder battery lifespan should last for three years.
How safe are JVC camcorder batteries and batteries in general? How do I take care of my JVC battery?
DuracellDirect provides safe and durable replacement JVC camcorder batteries and chargers that are tested before being
sent out to customers. All of our camcorder battery packs hold various RoHS, CE, UL, and FCC safety certifications.
Camcorder batteries are durable and fragile at the same time, and can be destroyed under certain conditions. Make sure
your JVC camcorder battery doesn’t sit in your car under direct sunlight. Avoid freezing temperatures, moisture and
rain. And be careful when handling the camcorder battery to avoid high impact shock to the battery cells. If your
camcorder battery becomes defective, it is a good idea to check and see if it is still under warranty. If your battery
pack is out of warranty, please recycle it at your nearest battery recycling center.
