Jazz Camcorder Information:
|
What is the difference between an OEM camcorder battery and DuracellDirect's camcorder batteries?
We carry replacement Duracell Direct camcorder batteries for Jazz camcorders that will meet or exceed OEM manufacturer
specifications. All aftermarket Jazz camcorder battery products come with a full one year warranty, and carry
various UL, CE, RoHS and FCC safety certifications. Aftermarket camcorder batteries are built with high quality
materials and newer technology which makes them longer lasting camcorder batteries, safe, and have an advantage over
OEM Jazz camcorder batteries.
What different types of Jazz camcorder batteries are there?
There are several different types of aftermarket Jazz camcorder batteries that you might find on DuracellDirect.
These different Jazz battery chemistry types are: Li-Ion (Lithium Ion), Ni-Cad (Nickel Cadmium), Li-Poly (Lithium
Polymer), or NiMH (Nickel Metal Hydride). Li-Ion is a fairly common camcorder battery chemistry type for Jazz
batteries. Each Jazz camcorder battery chemistry type has advantages and disadvantages, such as longer life per
charge, longer overall life cycle, weight, size, faster charge time, or stability. All four battery chemistry types
are universally accepted in Jazz camcorders.
Why do Jazz batteries have different capacities?
Jazz camcorder battery capacity is measured in “mAh” (milliampere-hour). Many different factors affect camcorder
battery capacities: in particular, camcorder battery cell size, voltage, wattage, and even the battery chemistry type.
The more electrolyte and electrode material there is in the camcorder battery cells, the larger the capacity will be
if the chemistry make up is the same. Jazz camcorder batteries with larger capacities will always last longer than
camcorder batteries with lower battery capacities.
How long will my Jazz camcorder battery last?
Your replacement Jazz camcorder battery should last a few hours for recording and playback. Recharging your Jazz
battery will take one to three hours to reach a full charge, with 80% battery capacity being reached the first hour.
Jazz camcorder battery lifespan should last for about three years and can handle over 500 discharge / charge cycles.
How safe are Jazz camcorder batteries and batteries in general? How do I take care of my Jazz battery?
DuracellDirect replacement Jazz camcorder batteries, chargers and accessories are very safe, tested and hold various
UL, CE, FCC and RoHS safety certifications before being sold to our customers.
Aftermarket Jazz batteries from DuracellDirect are very durable but need to be taken care of properly to ensure a
long lasting camcorder battery. Avoid leaving your camcorder battery in poor environments that include hot temperatures,
freezing temperatures, rain, moisture, high impact, and abusive conditions which can damage or void your Jazz
camcorder battery. Do not disassemble your Jazz camcorder battery as it can damage the internal battery cells and
short circuit the internals. If your Jazz battery becomes defective, please check to see if it is still under
warranty. If your Jazz battery is out of warranty, make sure it is disposed of at your nearest battery recycling center.
If you are unsure if our replacement Jazz camcorder battery or Jazz camcorder charger is compatible with your
camcorder model, please contact our customer service. We also carry many other manufacturers and brands for
camcorder batteries
and camcorder chargers.
