What is the difference between an OEM digital camera battery and DuracellDirect's digital camera batteries?
With our products in stock, DuracellDirect is ready to provide customers with replacement Fujifilm digital camera
batteries. All of our products will come with a one year warranty, and each battery meets, if not exceeds, OEM
specifications. Each Fuji battery also has attained various safety certifications (RoHS, CE, FCC, UL), and they are
made with only the highest-grade quality cells. This ensures that customers receive a Fuji digital camera battery with
a long life and amazing durability.
What different types of Fuji digital camera batteries are there?
DuracellDirect’s aftermarket Fuji digital camera batteries are made up of one of the following chemical compositions:
Li-Poly (Lithium Polymer), Li-Ion (Lithium Ion), Ni-Cad (Nickel Cadmium), or NiMH (Nickel Metal Hydride). Each composition
is accepted in creating satisfactory digital camera batteries. There are a few differences in each type, such as
average life span, but these differences are usually not major enough to be noticeable.
Why do Fuji digital camera batteries have different capacities?
A battery’s capacity (measured in “mAh” for milliampere-hour) changes for a number of reasons: size, voltage, type,
and condition. Typically, larger Fuji digital camera batteries will see a higher capacity than smaller batteries of the
same type. Or, two batteries of the same chemistry type and size may differ based on the battery cells held within:
more electrolytes and electrode materials will mean a higher capacity.
How long will my Fujifilm digital camera battery last?
The total lifespan for our aftermarket Fujifilm digital camera batteries will be roughly 500 discharge / charge cycles,
or two to three years of use. In that time, your replacement digital camera battery will last several hours of use;
charging the battery will take up to 3 to 4 hours, with an average of 80% capacity being reached within the first
charging hour. All of these figures can change depending on the condition of the battery: type, proper care of, and
current status all have an effect on the battery’s life.
How safe are Fuji digital camera batteries and batteries in general? How do I take care of Fujifilm battery?
As stated previously, each replacement Fujifilm digital camera battery has attained various safety certifications,
including CE, FCC, UL, and RoHS. This means that our batteries are vigorously tested in order to provide safety and
comfort to our customers.
In order to prevent battery malfunctions, it is best to keep your battery away from extreme environmental conditions.
This includes heat (such as direct sunlight for long periods of time, or leaving the battery in your car), freezing
temperatures, and contact with water (be careful when it’s raining!). Physical damage also plays a part in the
condition of your battery; dropping, throwing, or other acts that can cause physical damage, can short circuit your
Fuji digital camera battery or cause internal malfunctions. If you see any leaks coming from the battery, or if the
battery has simply reached the end of its lifespan, be sure to dispose of it properly at a recycling center.
